CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION OF DIRECTORS OF THE PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION OF MEDICAL TECHNOLOGISTS, INC. FOR 2011-2012

To All Concerned RMTs :
The following are the qualifications for the position :
(1) a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines ;
(2) a Registered Medical Technologist (RMT) by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Republic of the Philippines ;
(3) an active member of the association for at least five (5) consecutive years prior to the current election ;
(4) physically, psychologically and morally fit ; and
(5) practicing as a Medical Technologist for at least five (5) years prior to the election in any of the following areas of practice - clinical, academe, and other specialization related to health.
In line with this, we are sending you a copy of the Certificate of Candidacy, the official form to be used for the purpose.
The form should be submitted personally to the PAMET Office not later than November 5, 2010, Friday, 3 P.M. together with the required support documents in a sealed envelope.
We would appreciate it if you could help disseminate the information to registered medical technologists in your institution who wish to run for the position of Director.

Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to inform that the 12 APCCB will offer a total of 13 scholarships. Of these 5 will be offered by the APFCB and the remainder by the Organising Committee. These scholarships are besides those that were recently offered by the IFCC
Applicants for the APFCB Scholarships will be required to have the following qualifications
a. Have at least one scientific abstract that is accepted by the Scientific Committee
b. Be under 35 years of age or below on the closing date (30 June 2010).
(applicants will be expected to show evidence of this)
c. Show evidence that they are unable to obtain other sources of funding (e.g. a letter from the institution the are attached to)
d. Be domiciled in the Asia-Pacific (i.e. the APFCB geographic) region.
e. The 5 scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis. Applicants from non- APFCB member countries are eligible to apply but they will be eligible for no more than two scholarships.
f. The value of each scholarship is S$3500. The Organising Committee has kindly agreed to waive the registration fees for successful applicants.
Applications should be submitted to the 12th APCCB Organising Committee. The selection of the successful applicants will be done by the Organising Committee of the 12th APCCB in consultation with the APFCB EB.
