I would like to know if we have any laws regarding the proper ratio of licensed vs. unlicensed Med. Techs in a clinical laboratory. Is it all right to hire more unlicensed MTs than the registered MTs? The laboratory is planning to hire 10 unlicensed MTs while the registered staff is only about 5. So, it means that there is a 1:2 ratio, RMT vs. unlicensed. I have forgotten my MT Laws and Ethics already so I am really unaware. Though, I know it would benefit the laboratory more if there are more RMTs than the unlicensed ones.
